The upgrade is carried out using the Flash tuning method, where the upgrade is written via the OBD (On Board Diagnostic) socket. This means there are no additional boxes under the bonnet or opening of the ECU leaving an upgrade that is invisible to dealer software. We keep copies of all original files and if required the vehicle can be returned to standard at any time.
Well written custom tuning maps have inherent advantages over tuning boxes that connect in to the vehicles wiring controlling the fuelling signals. Most of these units achieve their increases by increasing the pressure in the fuel rail or the more advanced units alter the duration that injectors open for, thus introducing more fuel. When remapping the ECU the file writer can access not only the fuelling maps but, the torque maps & limiters and specific air flow maps to achieve a far more refined upgrade .
